Here I am with my tail between my legs, because I know I've been a terrible blogger and got out of my routine of regular posting over the last few weeks. I'm blaming it on a mixture of really random shift patterns at work (in for a day, off for a day, off for two, in for four...WHAAAA??!!) and a real lack of inspiration. I've been in a bit of a creative funk, but thankfully payday came around and I've been able to buy myself some new things to mess around with, so watch this space from now on because I've got tons to talk about!
Anywho, can you believe it's September?! I feel like I've blinked and summer whooshed past me when my eyes were closed. And so, as is now the custom, to see out the last month, I've created a design for the Polish Party. August's theme was glitter and gems, but the lazy side of me didn't want the hassle of having to remove a ton of glitter polish, so I've gone for a slightly more demure design which was inspired by a skirt I bought from Forever 21 when I was on holiday:
The polishes I used for this design were:
- Yves Saint Laurent Saffran Sultan (a massively overexcited blog post about my YSL purchases will be coming soon to a Vivid Nails blog near you)
- H&M Nail Polish in Cinnamon
- L.A. Colors Art Deco gold striper
- The triangle gems came in a cheap little back from Amazon a while ago
I love the pattern and colour scheme of that skirt and was desperate to try out the YSL polish, so this was a great opportunity to do so. It's not a massively complex design and I've seen tons of other people do similar designs, but I still really like it and am totally in love with the colours together.
Don't forget to check out all of the other Polish Party member's designs below!
