Amazing New Polishes I'm LOVING this month!

Howdy!

I'm a bad blogger. How has it got to the last few weeks of January without my posting anything?! January is always such a boring month, right? Christmas is painfully far away, the weather is rubbish (unless you're lucky to live somewhere lovely and beautiful and sunny) and nobody ever has any money. The only thing that has been getting me through is my new polishes, some of which were Christmas presents and the rest that I managed to find in sales.

Here's a breakdown of some of the gorgeous new polishes I've added to my ever-expanding polish collection this month and what I've created with them:

I got this miniature Essie set for Christmas, colours include Partner In Crime, Take It Outside, Dress to Kilt and Style Cartel. I instantly fell in love with Style Cartel, which is the lovely royal blue shade, and thought it would be a lovely colour to use for a mani design I see quite often on Instagram and don't know what it's called (please let me know!!). It's a design I'd never tried before and it was actually easier than I thought it would be. In my humble opinion, I think I was right about the design and colour going so well together:

Next up are some beautiful Sally Hansen polishes, Red Zin and Midnight in NY. I don't know which one of these I love the most. I'm a sucker for red polishes, but I love the chic sparkle of Midnight in NY. I wanted to see how that one would look painted on my nails, mostly just to see how glittery it would actually look, so I paired it with some silver triangle embellishments just to make it a little more interesting. The glitter is as gorgeous as I'd hoped, so subtle and classy and the best part is that it is much easier to remove than full glitter polish! WIN WIN!

Last but not least is my most prized polish possession, my glorious Estee Lauder Pure Color polish in Lust (shade M3). Is it not divine?! I am so completely obsessed with burgundy, I love to wear it in any way humanly possible, so this purchase was just a no-brainer for me. Because I love the colour so much, I wanted to keep it simple, but you know me, I can't just give my nails two coats of plain polish, because they've gotten used to being so pampered and just constantly demand more. So, I found these light pink gems rolling around in my embellishment bag and added them. I initially overlooked them, thinking that burgundy and pink would look weird together, but actually I think they look rather nice!

So, what polishes have you been loving this month, mis amigos?
